A Band Built on Melody and Meaning
Blackfield is the collaborative project of Steven Wilson and Israeli singer-songwriter Aviv Geffen, rounded out by Daniel Harrison and Daniel Salomon. Where many rock acts lean on aggression or shock value, Blackfield carve their own lane — melodic, emotionally candid, and genuinely accessible across generations. Their catalogue spans pop rock, art rock, progressive rock, and alternative rock, which is a range few bands sustain with any consistency.

Creative Inspiration and Songwriting
Inspiration for Blackfield songs ranges from deeply personal experience to a simpler need — the urge to say something loud and true. Standout tracks like Once, Cloudy Now, My Gift of Silence, and 1000 People demonstrate the band's gift for locating universal feeling inside very specific emotional moments. That quality — the sense that a song was written directly to you — is what keeps their audience so loyal.
With five studio records behind them and a devoted international following, Blackfield remain one of the most distinctive voices in progressive rock — understated where others grandstand, and all the more powerful for it.
